BCAK is very pleased and honoured to sponsor a presentation by Mr. George Picard (Sifu Picard) on Qijong on Thursday, 26 October, 2017 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Sifu Picard will present the movie “Qigong in Cancer Care.” Following will be a Q & A and then introduction to a few Qigong postures.
Qigong (pronounced “chee gong”) is a holistic system of coordinated body posture and movement, breathing, and meditation used for health, spirituality, and martial arts training. It typically involves moving meditation, coordinating slow flowing movement, deep rhythmic breathing, and calm meditative state of mind. Qigong is practiced worldwide for recreation, exercise and relaxation, preventive medicine and self-healing.
This presentation may be of special interest to members who are considering taking Qijong classes lead by Darlene Evans at BCAK starting in November,
There is no charge for the evening, but donations to BCAK will be welcomed.
We are very fortunate to have Master Picard of the Village of Healing and Wellness give this presentation for us. For more information about this event and Sifu Picard, see our Qijong Presentation poster.
Sifu Picard will also be holding a weekend seminar open to everyone from Friday Oct. 27 to Sunday noon in Kingston. For details about this opportunity or to register contact Irene Morton at firstname.lastname@example.org
