Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC), a Philadelphia-based not-for-profit organization,is having a live web stream about Genomic Testing on Monday 8 May from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Genomic testing is a rapidly growing area of research with potential new directions for breast cancer treatment. Genomic tests look at the level of activity of the genes in the tumor itself to determine how likely the tumors are to grow, spread or respond to treatment.
You may have heard of genomic testing, but may not be sure what it is and if it is right for you. If you’re interested in learning more about genomic testing, you can sign up to join the webstream. See LBBC’s genomic testing web stream page for more information.
Note: This is a US organization and some information that may be presented about cost and where to have the testing done will not apply to Canada.
