Chestmates Breast Cancer Survivor Dragon Boat Team

Chestmates breast cancer survivor dragon boat team is a program of Breast Cancer Action Kingston. We are a group of 22 spirited breast cancer survivors ranging in age from 30’s to 70’s. The team was formed in 2001 with two of the original members still paddling. New members are always welcome.  Practices take place twice a week from the end of April to mid-September. Out of town dragon boat festivals are approximately once a month throughout the season. We are a close-knit group of ladies that are together not only for exercise but for friendship and support.
International Breast Cancer Dragon boat festivals take place every four years with Breast cancer survivors attending from all over the world. Festivals have taken place in Vancouver ( the origin of breast cancer dragon boating) Australia, Peterborough, Sarasota Florida and Florence Italy. We are now actively preparing for the next international festival in New Zealand in 2022.

Please help us with the launch of our fundraising by attending a play at the Domino Theater.
